Cancer Massage
CANCER MASSAGE is a form of massage and complementary therapy for cancer patients.  Cancer
massage therapy will not cure or stop cancer, but it does help to decrease some of the side-effects
associated with cancer treatment. Additionally, cancer massage may decrease stress and enhance
quality of life.

Because cancer patients experience multiple invasive treatments and procedures, cancer massage
helps to relax, improve attitude, reduce symptoms and muscle spasms, as well.

Massage therapy can reduce depression, anxiety and anger in patients with cancer.  Massage in the
cancer patient can increase their levels of dopamine, serotonin, natural killer cells and lymphocytes,
according to recent research conducted by the Touch Research Institute.
